Add your locations

To add a location, open Locations, review each store synced from Shopify or add a custom one, set its address, time zone and hours, then turn on delivery or pickup.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open your locations

In ScrollEngine, open Shipment locations (Locations in the web dashboard). Locations from your Shopify store are listed automatically.

  2. Step 2: Check the address and time zone

Open each location and confirm its address and time zone. Slots, cutoffs and ETAs follow the location's own time zone, so a wrong time zone shifts every slot that location offers.

  3. Step 3: Add a location that isn't in Shopify

Add a custom location for a warehouse, dark store or kitchen that doesn't exist in your Shopify store. Give it an address and a time zone in the same way.

  4. Step 4: Set working hours

Set the days and hours the location works. The delivery and pickup slots you add later sit inside these hours.

  5. Step 5: Choose what the location offers

Turn on local delivery, store pickup or both. A location offers nothing in the cart until a method is on and has at least one slot.

  6. Step 6: Import many locations at once (optional)

With many locations, use bulk import instead of adding them one by one, then check the time zone of each imported location.

  7. Step 7: Set location priority

When more than one location can serve an order, location priority decides which one gets it. Set the order in the Location priority settings. See Set location rules for order assignment.

Before you start

Have each location's address, time zone and working hours to hand. If you run many stores, decide which methods each one offers: delivery, pickup or both.

Good to know

  • Everything that follows belongs to a location: zones, slots, capacity, cutoffs and blackout dates. Getting locations right first saves rework.
  • Staff access can be limited to certain locations or zones through roles, so a store manager sees only their store.
