Set location rules for order assignment
To route orders to the right store, map your Shopify delivery methods to ScrollEngine, add zone rules to each location, set location priority, then check where a test order lands.
Steps
Step 1: Know how an order gets its location
Every order goes to one location. Pickup orders go to the store the customer chose. Delivery orders go to a location whose rules match the address, by ZIP code, drawn zone, radius, region or customer tags. When several locations match, location priority decides.
Step 2: Map your Shopify delivery methods
In the app's Shopify settings, map each Shopify delivery method or shipping rate title to a ScrollEngine method (local delivery, store pickup or standard shipping) and, if you want, a fulfilling location. Titles can match exactly or by the words they contain.
Step 3: Choose how locations are assigned
Choose rule-based assignment to let your zone rules and location priority pick the location, or keep Shopify's default location for each order.
Step 4: Add rules to each location
Open each location's delivery rules and add the areas it serves. You can give each rule its own delivery time target. See Set delivery zones by ZIP, radius or map.
Step 5: Set location priority
Open the Location priority settings and put your locations in order. When two locations can serve the same address, the higher one gets the order.
Step 6: Test with a real address
Place a delivery order to an address covered by two locations, then open it in All orders and check it went to the location you expect. Repeat with a pickup order.

Good to know
- ScrollEngine fulfils each order from the location that made the promise, so stock comes from the store whose slot the customer booked.
- Staff can be limited to the locations and zones they work, so a store sees only its own orders.

Troubleshooting
If it doesn't work.
Check the Shopify method mapping for the rate the customer chose, then the zone rules and location priority for the address. For pickup, check which store the customer selected. You can move the order to another location from its order page.
Add a mapping for that rate's title in the app's Shopify settings so ScrollEngine knows which method it is. Match by the words the title contains if its wording varies.
Yes. The rules engine assigns every order, including orders imported from a CSV file or sent through the API.
No. ScrollEngine matches the location with its own rules, then asks Shopify to fulfil the order from that location, so the store that made the promise ships it.
