Invite drivers and install the driver app
To add a driver, invite them from Users with driver app access, have them install the app on iOS or Android, then check they can sign in.
Steps
Step 1: Set up a driver role
Roles decide what each person can open. Use a driver role, or create one, that gives access to the driver app only and not to the dashboard.
Step 2: Invite the driver
Go to Users and invite the driver with their name, email and phone number. Give them the driver role and the locations or zones they work. They get an email invitation.
Step 3: Send the install links
From the app's driver app page, email the driver the install links for the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android.
Step 4: Have the driver install and sign in
The driver installs the app, accepts the invitation and signs in with the email you invited. Ask them to allow location access, so the live driver map, arrival detection and ETAs work.
Step 5: Set the rules drivers follow
In the app's Mobile app settings, choose what drivers must do at each store: photo proof, proof of pickup, strict location tracking, the arrival radius, pick lists and stock checks.
Step 6: Put the driver on duty and test
Mark the driver on duty, assign them a short test route and check it appears in their app.

What drivers can do in the app
Drivers see their routes and stops, pick orders, update each delivery's status, call or WhatsApp the customer, capture proof of delivery and record cash on delivery. If you use the job board, drivers can also claim open orders themselves.

Troubleshooting
If it doesn't work.
Check the email address on the user, ask the driver to look in spam or junk, then invite them again. The invitation goes to the email you entered, so a typo is the usual cause.
Check that a route is saved and assigned to them for today, that they're on duty, and that their role and location or zone access include the store the route runs from.
Check that the phone's location is on and the app is allowed to use it, and that the driver is online in the app. The live driver map is in the ScrollEngine web dashboard, which you open from the app.
Drivers can call or WhatsApp the customer from the app. Masked calls that hide both numbers are available in India only.
